Lauren E. Scardella, Esq. attended American University in Washington, D.C., where she was awarded a Bachelorof Arts in Justice. Ms. Scardella was a Teaching Associate for the 1st year Legal Research and Writing Program (LRW), and served as an Articles Editor for the Women’s Rights Law Reporter, a legal journal founded by United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
While in law school, Ms. Scardella worked as a legal intern at the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office. After graduating, she spent a year as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Ira E. Kreizman, J.S.C. (Ret.) in the Criminal Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Monmouth County. Since the conclusion of her clerkship, Ms. Scardella has worked as an associate at SACHS & SCARDELLA LLC, where her practice is focused on the defense of criminal indictable matters in Superior Court and the defense of serious matters, including Driving While Intoxicated matters, in Municipal Courts across the State of New Jersey.
In addition to her duties at SACHS & SCARDELLA LLC, Ms. Scardella is a member of the Mercer County, American Bar Associations and National College For DUI Defense. She is also the co-editor of Municipal Court Practice, a textbook published by the Institute for Continuing Legal Education which is used to educate lawyers as to Municipal Court practice. Ms. Scardella is also interested in the education of future lawyers, and has guest lectured on Municipal Court practice for the Solo and Small Firm Practice class at Rutgers-Newark School of Law, and has additionally served as a “judge” during 1st year oral arguments for the LRW Program. She is the co-chair of the Women Lawyers Committee, and chair of the Municipal Bench Bar Committee for the Mercer County Bar Association.
